Lucknow police are deploying AI enabled drones for the first time to manage traffic during IPL matches. These drones use predictive analytics and live surveillance to anticipate congestion and detect violations like illegal parking or wrong side driving in real time.
By integrating these aerial feeds with the city traffic control room, authorities can proactively reroute vehicles and deploy personnel to prevent bottlenecks before they occur. DCP Traffic Raveena Tyagi noted that this tech driven approach aims to reduce travel time and enhance safety for commuters during high traffic events.
