The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is developing a ₹1,481 crore multimodal transport hub at Dahisar octroi naka to reduce traffic congestion at Mumbai’s entry points and strengthen urban mobility infrastructure.
Located on the Western Express Highway, the Dahisar transport hub will integrate interstate buses, BEST services, Metro connectivity, parking facilities and commercial spaces as part of Mumbai’s smart transport management plan.
The project will connect with Metro Lines 9 and 10 and is designed to accommodate 353 interstate buses and over 1,300 vehicles, helping reduce traffic load on Mumbai’s arterial roads. The civic body is also exploring redevelopment of other former octroi nakas under the PPP model.
