Jaipur to Launch New Smart AI Traffic Control Centre

2 1 — GreenTech ITS Making Highways Smarter, Seamless

Jaipur is fast tracking plans for an AI driven Integrated Traffic Command Centre to ease congestion and boost road safety following a review by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. This project is a joint effort between the Jaipur Traffic Police, Municipal Corporation, and Development Authority, with a specialized team led by the DCP Traffic currently drafting the blueprint.

The facility will be more advanced than the existing Abhay Command Centre, utilizing Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology to automate violation detection and e challan issuance. While the government has directed the JDA to allot land for the site, officials are waiting for the final demarcation to begin construction. Once operational, the center aims to reduce traffic snarls and accidents through superior real time surveillance and centralized citywide control.
