Why Did Nashik Allow Extra Time for 28 Road Upgrades?

Wmremove Transformed 14 — Why Did Nashik Allow Extra Time for 28 Road Upgrades?

The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has granted a 15 day extension to complete utility related works on 28 major city roads being prepared ahead of the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela. These roads are part of the broader infrastructure upgrades planned under the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela development programme.

Officials said the extension was required as major utility ducts are still under construction, and agencies need additional time to finish pending groundwork before full scale road construction begins. The ducts will accommodate key services including water supply networks, drainage lines, optical fibre cables, piped natural gas lines and stormwater channels.
