The Godhra–Vadodara stretch of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway has been opened on a trial basis, marking another milestone in India’s longest expressway project. Once fully completed, the 1,386-km expressway is expected to reduce Delhi–Mumbai travel time to nearly 12 hours. Built under the Bharatmala project, the access-controlled corridor will pass through six states and connect key cities including Gurugram, Kota, Indore, Vadodara, Surat, and Mumbai, with over 90 designated entry and exit points.
