NCRTC Launches New High-Speed EV Charging Hub at Anand Vihar

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has commissioned its largest EV charging hub at the Anand Vihar station on the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor. The facility features 10 high-voltage 480 kW units, capable of charging four-wheelers to 80% in approximately 30 minutes, with dedicated points for heavy commercial EVs.

Accessible via the “ElectreeFi” app, the station allows users to book slots, monitor real-time status, and make digital payments. This addition brings the total number of charging-enabled stations on the corridor to eight, including Sahibabad, Duhai, and Meerut South.

Managing Director Shalabh Goel noted that this infrastructure supports NCRTC’s goal of sourcing 50% of its power from renewables within six years, complementing the corridor’s existing regenerative braking system which recovers up to 30% of energy. These hubs are designed to reduce range anxiety for commuters and local residents, furthering the push for green mobility across the RRTS network.
