Delhi Traffic Police has started upgrading Delhi VMS boards on major roads and intersections. The system will provide real-time traffic updates and travel advisories. So far, officials have upgraded 42 of the city’s 92 Variable Message Sign (VMS) boards.
The Delhi VMS boards network will show live alerts on traffic congestion, diversions, accidents, weather warnings, and road closures. The system will help commuters choose better routes and avoid delays. Officials said the smart traffic management project will improve road safety and traffic flow. The initiative will also help reduce fuel use and vehicle emissions.
