According to JP Nair, Managing Director, Virtual Info Systems Pvt Ltd, the organiser of the event,”the show has had new exhibitors showcasing traffic technology and achieved a perfect match between solution seekers and technology providers.”
Most of the exhibitors-national and international- stated that they would be part of the next Mobility event to be held in New Delhi, in Sept-Oct 2020. Apart from getting fruitful feedback and business enquiries, they also were happy to understand the technology showcased by their competitors and would like to be part of the ecosystem. Another encouraging revelation has been the increased interest shown by the solution seekers for parking management technology.
The show offered opportunities to understand the requirements of Indian infrastructure sector and traffic management projects along with the opportunities the country is offering. For many national exhibitors, the technology they have been looking for, or the international companies, they have been wanting to get associated with were right at the venue. There have been tie ups and partnerships getting discussed and initiated. A good number of Smart City implementors definitely felt that most of the ITS, safety, logistics AI and IoT technology could be implemented in their Smart City projects.
Despite the not so favourable market conditions, the Expo witnessed over 3500 quality visitors and delegates from over 20 countries. Officials and decision makers from multiple segments– Central and State ministries, Police departments, Road Transport Corporations, Trade Commissions; Highway and Transport Departments, PWDs; City Transport Services; Municipal Corporations, City Development Authorities; Infrastructure companies, Smart City projects, Turnkey projects, Metro/Railways, Airport authorities, Consulting companies, and Technology companies have had quality time at the Expo.
