Tata Motors gets largest truck order

Tata Motors has got an order to supply 1,111 medium and heavy commercial trucks (M&HCV) from the Surat based Siddhivinayak Logistics Ltd (SVLL), its largest order ever. SVLL is one of the biggest trucking companies in India, with operations covering a range of diverse sectors such as steel, machinery, tractors, cement and commercial vehicle chassis transport. SVLL will use the Tata Prima to begin new operations in transporting fresh fruits and vegetables in refrigerated containers. Tata Motors, which has a 70% share of the M&HCV market, registered an annual growth of 12% in its annual sales in the M&HCV segment.
