Railways to use CCTVs and jammers against touts

The Railways is working on a plan to use CCTV cameras and jammers to curtail operation of touts. The system will be first tried out in big and small railway ticket reservation centres and booking counters in Delhi railway stations. The cameras will send live feed at the time of booking reservations. Commercial inspectors of railways and divisional railway managers will ensure monitoring of footage of CCTVs during peak hours and on a daily basis. The Railways has also debarred from further operation about 200 Railway Service Agents in Delhi who were authorized to book tickets for passengers.
