The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will redevelop the 13.7 km Naroda–Narol Highway, one of the busiest corridors in the eastern part of Ahmedabad, to improve connectivity across east Ahmedabad.
Under the project, the Road Project Department will redevelop the Narol Circle–Naroda Patiya stretch into a 60 metre wide road with 10.5 metre main carriageways on both sides and 10.5 metre service roads. Two metre wide footpaths with seating will be built on both sides for pedestrian safety, while a one metre median will separate the main carriageway from the service roads. The project will also include plantation, landscaping, traffic signage and a multi utility zone.
