Home-delivered traffic challans

Traffic violators in Ahmedabad will soon find challans being delivered to their homes. This follows the revival of the e-challan project by the city traffic police. According to senior traffic police officers, the system is all set to start from June 2015 and the database of all the existing vehicle owners has been updated. The roads will be put under electronic surveillance by integrating CCTV cameras with traffic signals. The project is being implemented in collaboration with international agencies and will be initially launched as a pilot project.
