Gurgaon Expressway introduces decongestion measures

Delhi-Gurgaon Super Connectivity (DGSCL), the concessionaire for the Gurgaoan Expressway, in collaboration with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Gurgaon Police will introduce measures to reduce traffic congestion on the expressway. The first measure is constructing eight toll booths for vehicles coming from Udyog Vihar in Gurgaon towards Delhi. The second measure is to open the toll gates if stoppage time at the plaza is more than 10 minutes. There will be a limit line drawn on the lanes approaching the toll plazas. As soon as stationery vehicles cross the line the toll plazas will be opened till traffic reduces. The third measure is to serve challans to non-tag vehicles which enter dedicated tag lanes, to implement which the concessionaire will seek the permission of the Delhi high court. The court had recently stopped toll collection by DGSCL for 15 days and asked for traffic decongestion measures to be implemented.
