NHAI extends deadlines for Project bids

Delhi MerrutIn the wake of Covid-19, India’s National Highways Authority of India has revised the project awarding target from 4,500-km to 3,000-km plus, according to a senior official. “ We have already awarded around the 2,800-km-length project, and are likely to add another 500-700 km,” RK Pandey, Members (Projects), NHAI informed TrafficInfraTech. On extending the deadlines, he adds: “It all depends on the number of bids we have received, and the contractors’ ability to provide the required information in the present scenario. And this is why we have decided to extend deadlines.”
