The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has installed CCTV cameras on 80 of its bus as a part of a pilot project aimed at strengthening security in buses. In the first phase 200 buses including low-floor AC and non-AC buses will be fitted with the cameras. The cameras have a recording capacity of seven hours.

A Control Room has been set up at Rajghat Depot where footage from the CCTV cameras is monitored on a daily basis. The Control Room computers store footage of about 15 hours. This is the first time that DTC has installed CCTV cameras in its buses.
