Panvel flyover to be ready by this June

The Panvel flyover that is expected to solve the problems of traffic jams, road rages and inconvenience of Panvel residents is expected to be ready by June 2012. The flyover will also ease commuters’ journey to Pune by the old Mumbai-Pune road which passes through Panvel. The 17-metre wide flyover will offer two lanes each for up and down traffic. The 1.5km long main flyover also provides two arms of 437 metres each. The flyover which cost about 140-crore will help reduce pollution arising from severe traffic congestion and decrease vehicle operating costs.
