Wizpro Consultech is a specialist system integrator and solution consultant focused on India’s highway tolling infrastructure. With RFID solutions deployed across 40% of India’s toll-plaza lanes — over 5,000 lanes nationwide — Wizpro leads the way to making barrier-free tolling work in real Indian highway conditions.
For the MLFF transition, Wizpro supplies and integrates two critical components that form the backbone of any gantry-based tolling system: a high-performance RFID reader with dual-antenna architecture for primary vehicle identification and the Stellarview Recon global-shutter ANPR camera for visual verification
and enforcement.
Together, these create a dual-layer identification system in which every vehicle passing through a gantry is captured with near-absolute certainty.
The RFID layer: proven, reliable, instant

RFID remains the most mature and trusted component of the MLFF
stack. FASTag — built on UHF RFID — already enjoys over 98% penetration across Indian highways, and the NPCI settlement mechanism is fully operational. When an MLFF gantry reads a FASTag, it taps into a system that has processed billions of transactions with no dependency on image quality, lighting or weather.
Wizpro’s configuration uses the Zebra Technologies FX9600 reader with a smart dual-antenna setup: a high-gain linear antenna mounted atop the gantry acts as an activator that powers up FASTag tags from a distance.
Further, a circular-polarised antenna on the gantry face provides a confirmation read directly overhead. This two-stage activate-then-confirm approach ensures that even weak or partially obstructed tags are captured reliably.
RFID performance
• 99%+ read accuracy
at speeds exceeding 180 km/h
• Dual-antenna architecture eliminates missed transactions
• AES-128 encrypted, fully compliant with NHAI and NETC FASTag standards
• Validated in live highway pilot deployments

Global shutter and Pulse IR
While RFID handles the primary transaction, the ANPR camera serves as the verification and enforcement layer — visually confirming vehicle identity, capturing number-plate imagery and detecting violations. This is where the choice of camera technology makes the difference.
Most ANPR deployments still rely on rolling-shutter cameras, which capture images line by line and produce motion blur on fast-moving vehicles. The result is degraded plate recognition, especially at highway speeds, at night or in poor weather.
Wizpro addresses this with the Stellarview Recon global-shutter camera — a Made-in-India, AI-powered ANPR system that captures every frame in a single exposure, eliminating motion blur at any speed.

Pulse IR integration: What sets the Stellarview Recon apart is its Pulse Infrared illumination, which delivers sharp, high-contrast imaging in complete darkness.
Pulse IR fires precisely timed, high-intensity infrared bursts synchronised with the global-shutter sensor, so the camera captures crisp, evenly lit images of plates and vehicles even in zero ambient light, without overexposure or glare.
The result is night-time recognition accuracy that matches daytime performance — a capability most competing systems cannot deliver.
The transition to barrier-free tolling is the defining infrastructure upgrade of this decade for Indian highways. Getting it right means choosing the right technology components — and the right integration partner.”

Why Wizpro’s approach stands apart
The market is crowded with vendors offering MLFF hardware. What differentiates Wizpro is not just the technology but the approach:
• Global shutter versus rolling shutter — distortion-free capture at any speed, a fundamental advantage for MLFF
• Pulse IR for true night performance — night accuracy that matches daytime, critical for 24/7 tolling
• Dual-antenna RFID versus single-read systems — an activate-then-confirm architecture that captures even weak or obstructed tags above 180km/h
• Edge AI versus cloud dependency — on-device processing with no cloud latency or bandwidth dependency
• Made in India versus import-dependent — a fully indigenous, NHAI 2023 VIDES-compliant camera at a time when import-security norms are tightening
• Integration expertise, not just hardware — consultation, system design, integration and long-term managed support
