NHAI has invited bids from experienced firms to provide solar highway lighting to cover 104 locations across different stretches of AP highways section of NH-216 to address the rectification of MoRTH-identified accident blackspots. Currently, the government has identified a total of 13,795 blackspots on NHs, with short-term rectification measures completed on 9,525 blackspots and permanent ones on 4,777 blackspots. Rectification measures are also being taken on accident spots reported on the eDAR portal on a priority basis.
