While Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad and Ghaziabad have already migrated to modern police control rooms, funds have been earmarked to develop the facility in Varanasi and Agra too. By the end of next year, a total of six cities which have witnessed rapid expansion in urban limits would have police response time to emergency situations of less than 15 minutes. Moreover, `50Cr has been set aside to improve traffic management across key cities. The ambitious smart surveillance system will be also rolled out in the next three months at Lucknow.
