Roadside amenities with EV charging infra

Based on research, it was found that scooters currently average a maximum range of 26 kilometers and can be conveniently charged at home every night. Challenges however, arise for long-distance travel on highways. To address them, NHAI is working on the establishment of 670 roadside amenities equipped with charging stations. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has recently announced that the fragmentation caused by various manufacturers producing their own chargers would soon be resolved, leading to standardization in charging infrastructure.

Electric four-wheelers in India will feature a range of up to 400 kilometers, while electric scooters are expected to offer a range of 120 kilometers.
