As per the recent reports the Madhya Pradesh government is planning to build one airport every 150 kms, an airstrip within a radius of 75 kms and a helipad for landing of helicopters every 45 kms. This target is to be achieved by the year 2030. The initiative is aimed at improving connectivity and encourage religious tourism. The policy has been framed in coordination with the UDAN scheme of the Central Government.
