The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a proposal to form a metro rail company called Noida Metro Ra?il Company (NMRC) to build a 29km long between Nodia City Centre and Greater Nodia?s Bodaki. 19km of the metro will be in Noida and 10km will be in the Greater Nodia region. The company, with an initial corpus of ? 1,000 crore, will also take up metro extension projects all over the state once the Noida metro is completed. The NMRC has requested the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corporation (DMIC) for funding the project since Bodaki is the first industrial town being developed by the DMIC.
