Karl Slym has been appointed as Managing Director, Tata Motors. He will lead company operations in India as well as international markets such as South Korea, Thailand, Spain, Indonesia and South Africa. Before taking up this assignment Slym was President and Managing Director of General Motors (GM), India. He also has been the Executive Vice President and Board Member, SGMW Motors, China, a GM Joint Venture. He served for over 17 years with General Motors, and is an alumnus of Stanford University and a Sloan Fellow.
