iROADS Wins Global Climate Resilience Award

TRL Software’s innovative iROADS asset management platform has recently been awarded the 2025 IRF Global Road Achievement Award for Climate Resilience and Adaptation, recognising its pivotal role in strengthening Kerala’s road infrastructure against climate challenges. The award celebrates TRL Software’s successful delivery of a web-based Road Maintenance Management System (RMMS) for the Kerala Public Works Department as part of the Kerala State Transport Project Phase II , supported by the World Bank. The system supports climate-resilient road planning, efficient budgeting, and evidence-based decision-making, setting a benchmark for digital infrastructure transformation in developing regions.

Kerala is a high-performing state in southern India, with a population of approximately 35 million. The States Public Works Department manages an extensive road network of 31,000 kilometres. However, Kerala’s road network has been increasingly vulnerable to extreme climate events. To address the challenges, TRL Software deployed iROADS, an integrated, cloud-based platform designed for road asset management. By integrating geospatial and environmental risk data, iROADS enables climate-resilient planning and smarter prioritisation. The platform also empowers citizens increasing transparency and responsiveness.
