IL&FS has secured a ?. 14.36 billion contract from the National Highways Authority of India for the construction of a four-lane stretch on the Kiratpur Ner Chowk Section of National Highway 21 (NH-21) in the states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. The project, to be completed on EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis, will reduce travel time and cost of travel between Kiratpur and Ner Chowk. The 67.3 km stretch is expected to be completed in about three years and involves construction of 18 major bridges, five main tunnels, minor bridges, toll plazas, truck lay-bays & bus bays, one escape tunnel, flyover, pedestrian / cattle underpasses.
