HP to launch electric buses

In order to improve travel experience for residents and tourists while reducing pollution, the Himachal Pradesh government is set to introduce around 300 electric buses, including 24 luxury ones, to enhance connectivity and promote sustainable transportation. All of these buses will adhere to the latest BS-6 emission standards.

One of the key aspects of the project is the comprehensive maintenance and repair plan. The company supplying the buses will be responsible for their maintenance and repairs for the next 12 years. This arrangement will reduce the financial burden on the transport department and ensure that the buses are kept in optimal condition.
