Resident volunteers in Panchkula in Haryana will be involved in road safety initiatives along with the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), the Municipal Corporation, the Public Works Department (PWD) and the NHAI. The volunteers can register their names with the Regional Transport Authority of Panchkula. They can participate in meetings of the District Road Safety Committee and their suggestions will be considered. The volunteers will be responsible for creating awareness of traffic rules by means of campaigns and programmes and
will assist traffic police though moral policing.
