Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur recently inaugurated the 1.8-km Dharamshala-Mcleodganj ropeway which has a capacity to carry 1,000 people per hour in one direction. One can now complete the journey between the two tourist destinations in just five minutes through this ropeway.
“Dharamshala Skyway”, Dharamshala to Mcleodganj in Kangra district, has 10 towers and two stations. The top station of this ropeway is in front of the Dalai Lama Temple. The Chief Minister said that Mono Cable Detachable Gondolas Technology has been used in this ambitious project.
