Haryana moves towards pod taxis

The Haryana government is exploring the introduction of an automated, driverless pod taxi system in urban centres through discussions with Suzuki Motor Corporation and Glydways. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reviewed project feasibility, route planning, PPP models, investment options, and implementation timelines. The proposed on-demand transit system aims to reduce congestion, cut travel time, improve energy efficiency, and support sustainable urban mobility.
