Japan’s milestone in India

The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link or Atal Setu, built with financial assistance of almost $2 billion from Japan International Cooperation Agency, has emerged as another symbol of strong Indo-Japan collaboration in the infrastructure sector. This is the second mega infrastructure project, two decades after the Japan-funded Delhi Metro started operations. Other big projects for which JICA is providing financial support include the Dedicated Freight Corridor , the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor, expansion of metro networks in several Indian cities and sewage and water supply projects.
