E-tags for toll collection on National highways

NationalhighwaysThe Road Ministry will have the Electronic Toll Collection system implemented on all toll plazas on the national highways in at least one lane by the end of the fiscal. The Ministry plans to implement electronic toll collection across the national highways and the National Highways Authority of India has formed Indian Highways Management Company Ltd to implement electronic toll collection across national highways. This has already been implemented at 10 toll plazas between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on road stretches operated by Larsen & Toubro and IRB Infrastructure.
