The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRCL) has floated a tender for the construction of the Car Depot for the Mumbai Metro at Aarey Colony, Goregaon. The Car Depot, which will be part of the 32.5 Km long Colaba-Bandra-Seepz underground metro, is worth Rs. 129.32cr. The tender work specifications include the ground development at Metro Line-3 Car Depot, construction of a boundary retaining wall & RCC storm water drain, construction of Playback Training Room (PTR) building (G+3) at the Car Depot and diversion of 1200 mm and 600 mm diameter water supply lines at the Car Depot. The Colaba-Seepz metro will consist of 27 stations; out of which 26 will be underground and one at grade.
