Kistler Instruments India Pvt. Ltd. has done its first model installation of its Lineas Weigh-in-Motion Sensors in collaboration with M/s. Rajdeep Info Techno Pvt. Ltd. at Charoti Toll Plaza on Surat, Dahisar Highway, 100km from Thane. The installation took place as a standard layout, consisting of 4 Lineas sensors along with a Light Beam Array, as a part of other accessories which are recommended for toll plaza application. The Weigh-In-Motion sensors, combined with high-end data acquisition systems, allow measurement of wheel and axle loads, gross vehicle weights and uneven loading of individual vehicles in moving traffic. The system uses a quartz sensor to measure wheel and axle loads and to determine the vehicle gross weight under rolling traffic conditions. The system is easy to install and maintain. It provides excellent long-term stability, a large measuring range from slow to fast highway speeds, high natural frequency and signal dynamics.
