Reliance Group-promoted Internet of Things (IoT) service provider Unlimit has launched a comprehensive location tracking GPS system for the automotive vendors across the country. The AIS- 140 (Automotive Industry Standard) compliant system provides solution in terms of deployment and operations of connected vehicles more efficiently, securely and by significantly helping reduce the associated operational costs. The system is a set of standards published by Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) designed to build an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) tailored for the public transportation system in the country. The AIS-140 solution would help officials in tracking the vehicle and let passengers notify the control room in case of an emergency.
