GHMC to frame policy for multi-level smart parking

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is all set to frame a policy and guidelines for multi-level a smart car parking, particularly on vacant land. According to GHMC, the envisaged model would not necessary based on revenue, but would ensure required facilities and safety of vehicles provided at parking lots. Through this policy, interested landowners would sign an agreement with global agencies included in the empanelled committee. The system would be run by the empanelled agency, including designing, selection of vacant parking slots and developing them. Government lands would also be considered for parking lots. The parking lots would be temporary so that they can be dismantled easily when not required.
