FLIR Systems Inc, a provider of thermal imaging systems, automotive night vision system, and personal vision thermal cameras recently acquired Traficon International NV, a leading provider of intelligent video detection solutions for traffic applications which include automatic incident detection, traffic data collection and intersection vehicle & pedestrian presence detection. After the acquisition, the company expects its thermal imaging technology to be adopted at a faster pace in the market for video-based traffic control solutions. Traficon?s video analytics capabilities will also be included into the other imaging products offered by FLIR systems
