Mumbai?s exclusive public transport provider BEST (Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking) is planning on providing citizens feeder services which would help them connect with the upcoming Mumbai metro and monorail services, similar to its existing bus services for the city?s suburban railway system. The new services would begin with a service for the monorail corridor between Chembur and Wadala, and after that, a similar service on the Mumbai metro route. Plans include fast-corridor routes for better north-south & east-west connectivity and direct services between newly-developed business & residential hubs in the city. The Undertaking is considering developing a bus hub and interchange facility at Deonar for long route passengers and introducing more routes via the newly opened Eastern Freeway.
