France based Faurecia, an automotive component and engineering solutions company, recently inaugurated in Pune a state-of-the-art TechCenter for automotive systems – automotive interior & exterior systems and automotive seating. The TechCenter is a fully integrated facility with CAD/CAE (Computer Aided Design & Engineering) and PPV (Product and Process Validation) and employs about 800 automotive engineers. Each year the company’s techcenters execute around 200 projects focussing on safety, comfort, interior space management and environmental performance. Globally, Faurecia registered 300 patents and posted total sales of €16.2 billion in 2011.
