In order to solve the parking worries, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has come up with ‘MCGM 24×7’ app. The app will help find a public parking lot (PPL) anywhere in the city.
The app is a joint initiative of the BMC and the Mumbai Parking Authority. Till now, there are 26 PPLs in the city with a capacity for more than 20,000 vehicles, including two, three and four-wheelers and heavy motor vehicles. Of late, 24 bus depots and 37 bus terminals are being used to park buses.
The app has a Smart Parking icon on the homepage which can enable motorists with all information regarding parking lots- addresses, parking timings, types of vehicles allowed and whether it is a paid space or free. The app also has the BMC’s parking circular with penalty details.
