Trial runs at 160kmph have already been successfully conducted on the Shatabdi Express and similar trains on the Delhi-Agra route. The trials checked parameters related to safety, technical aspects of rolling stock and other components and systems such as overhead equipment, signalling, bridges and tracks. Trials on rolling stock from LHB, both coaches and electric locomotives, have also been successfully carried out at 180kmph.
