Delhi may make multilevel parking mandatory

The Delhi administration may soon levy hefty penalties on car users for not using multilevel parking facilities in areas where they exist. This penalty most likely will come in the form of steep surface parking charges in such areas, up to five times more than multilevel parking charges. The move is expected to encounter opposition from parking mafia and middlemen, who get parking done illegally for car owners. The administration is all set to flow strict enforcement of no-parking rules in congested areas.
