The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded a contract to Otis Elevator Company (India) Limited for the supply and installation of 222 units of the of escalators (520NPE-L model) for phase III of the Delhi Metro project. The 520 NPE-L escalator is environment-friendly and caters to public transportation & heavy traffic demands by offering high safety, solid reliability and service friendly design. The control panel allows for monitoring of actual working conditions while interfaces allow for remote monitoring and control, therefore providing for safer operation. Otis also announced its partnership with L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (LTMRHL) to provide 670 units for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project.
